Samsung Galaxy S3 – a phone worthy of the hype

New tricks, new features, far better than its predecessors.

  The Samsung Galaxy series has recently caught our interest with the new introduced large display, rounded design and some new features.

  By collaborating with Android, Samsung has been listed as a house for amazing smartphones available in the market.

  The Galaxy S3 on the other hand, proves to be a worthy phone to grab, with its reasonable price, around RM1900, RM 1400 for S2. It’s pretty decent for a high end smartphone these days.

  Brushed polycarbonate – you have got a choice of 'Marble White' and 'Pebble Blue' – embellish the large device, which runs in with dimensions of 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm, despite still having to pack in a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen.

  The Galaxy is astounding and amazing, fitting the criteria for the greatest phone ever invented with great and fancy features to feast your eyes and make your day better than before.

Features

  The newly introduced S Voice is quite interesting; almost the same as Iphone’s Siri, the S Voice provides the basic function such as to make calls, surfing internet, read messages and emails. Just talk to the phone (works with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and mobile network) and it will responds to what you said.

  Have no worry when reading on S3 with the Smart Stay. This new feature enables the screen to stay on as long as you look onto it. This is a great addition to the phone.
  Sharing your content with friends nearby should be easy, quick and even fun. S Beam lets you bond instantly so you can transfer documents, contacts, pictures, music and videos. Just put the backs of your phones together, connect, share and enjoy.

  Pop Up Play, a new feature that brings video watching experience to a whole new level. You may shrink video you are watching and do other tasks like playing games, read emails or surfing internet.

  The stock application for videos have been optimized compared to S2. You can choose to either watch videos in landscape view or standard view. In addition, you can choose the scenes of video chapters to view from, which is a nice touch.

  Similar to Galaxy Note, S3 has also been implemented with S Memo; the note taking has never been easier with S Memo. It enables you to take notes and customized it with colorful themes.

  Interestingly, S Planner which was recently introduced in Galaxy Note may help you to customized and organize meeting schedules or other important events to attend.

  The camera has been optimized. The zero shutters lets you take pictures without delay and most interesting is you can take a set of pictures endlessly.

 The predecessor, Galaxy S2 lacks the coherent vision in terms of features and specs thus making S3 a worthy upgrade.

  Apart from being the most amazing phone, Galaxy S3 has optimized some of the existing features of S2.

  In terms of design, some prefers the S2 more because of the elegant look while some people might skip that and go for S3’s rounded design.

  The writer feels that the large display will please users who like to watch movies and videos. Galaxy S3 indeed enlarges the display a little bit compared to S2.
